Announcing the 2018 Engineering Science Symposium

Held each year during the SHPE National Convention, the Engineering Science Symposium showcases the excellent STEM research conducted by SHPE students and faculty members.

With both oral and poster presentations, the Symposium unveils some of the most exciting advancements in engineering and science. Nearly 70 SHPE members offer oral presentations on research from fields including Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanics of Materials and Fluids, Biomedical and Bioengineering, Agricultural, Civil, Environmental and Biological Engineering, Applied Physics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. Poster presentations cover a range of research topics, from environmental projects to biomedical engineering solutions.

Presenting students who attend both the Thursday and Friday programming will receive a $100 discount registration code to register to for the convention. Please do not register until notified and provided a code.

The best student presentation in each session will be awarded monetary prizes.

Abstract Submission: Friday, September 7
Notification of Acceptance: Monday, September 24
Symposium: Friday, November 9
