Gustavo Arroyo Nolasco is a first-generation college graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. His career spans supply chain, mechatronics, and sales engineering, where he has led projects focused on automation and process improvement. Driven by a passion for community empowerment, Gustavo uses his engineering expertise to create opportunities and uplift others.

Gustavo joined SHPE six years ago after transferring from community college in search of a supportive community—and he found just that. Since then, SHPE has been instrumental in his personal and professional development. Now, as Vice President of Student Affairs for SHPE Chicago, Gustavo is focused on bridging the gap between professionals and student chapters. He is dedicated to mentoring, engaging, and creating pathways for the next generation of Hispanic STEM leaders.

Outside of his work and SHPE involvement, Gustavo enjoys staying active through fitness and basketball, experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes, and exploring his interests in technology and entrepreneurship.
