SHPE-Chicago/Verizon Nueva Latina Award Event

Thanks to those who attended the Verizon event on August 17th at Café Iberico, we had a great night. The tapas and sangrias were delicious along with the networking amongst professional Latinas and Latinos.

After eating, everyone got a chance to briefly introduce themselves. Then, Violeta Gudino from Azucar Enterprises, Inc (marketing for Verizon) explained the details of Verizon’s Nueva Latina Award nomination criteria.

The nominations will close by midnight Friday, August 19. There will be a winner for each category: Business, Community Service, and Technology to be announced at the “Vive La Hispanidad” event in October 2011 in Chicago, IL.
